Laura is a Melbourne model, health blogger and creator of Food, Fit and Repeat.
Laura has been working in the modelling industry for over two years now and is a big believer in leading a healthy lifestyle. This interest has lead to the creation of Food, Fit and Repeat where Laura shares insight and recipe ideas to inspire others to follow in her footsteps. Her love for cooking has also lead to the release of the e-book Keep it Clean with one of her best friends and fellow model Stephanie Smith.
To maintain a lean figure and live a clean lifestyle she finds protein to be an essential element of her diet, which lead to the creation of Four Protein. Laura noticed a huge gap in the market for clean, wholesome protein powder, without that bitter aftertaste or grainy consistency. She was sick of all delicious tasting proteins being loaded with artificial sweeteners and nasty additives and so made it her mission along with her personal trainer, Tom Hose to create a product that not only her body loves but her taste buds do too.
I absolutely love smoothies. I am so happy to be back in Melbourne with my blender and be able to make my morning smoothies again. Starting the day with a smoothie always leaves me full for hours and they are a great way to get heaps of nutrients in before you even leave the house. They are also SO easy to make, you can take them with you and you literally can blend any type of fruit/most veg and they will always be delicious, well almost.
Smoothies are also a great post workout meal as often I won’t feel like a heavy meal but still want to replenish my depleted carbohydrate stores and give my body the protein to recover. This is my go to smoothie post-workout.
Raw. Vegan. Gluten Free. Refined Sugar free. Dairy Free.
1 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of Coconut Water (I use Natural Raw C Coconut water)
1/2 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 scoop of Four Protein Raw Cacao Protein Powder
1 tsp raw Cacao Powder
1 tbs Chia Seeds
1 cup of spinach
1 handful of ice
Simply put all of the ingredients into the blender and blend. If you like to eat your smoothies with a spoon (like I do) you may need to add more ice.
